Hi Annie
About Health issues in Britain I did some rearch from The Times, name of the Healthcare tursts are 'Letting down patients with long-term illness'.
Now days the NHS in England and Wales has improved, but there are still some areas has a few serious problems. The most damaging criticsm is aimed at primary care trusts (PCTs),the bodies entrusted with planning, organising and commissioning care.
"They are failing to provide health servives to mahch th needs of their communites."the commission says.In 2006-07 only 26 per cent of PCTs were rated excellent or good by commission, compared with 33 per cent the year before.Patients may have registered as having a condition but were not called back for follow up visits.Such as dibetes and heart disease.
This year, only 60 of the 152 PCTs achieved the practice based registers ,53 per cent failing it.This is worse than the 40 per cent recorded in last year.
But I think it could have some problmes with social class and allocation of resources.Healthcare has improved but we should also clear that there is some way to go before everyone gets world class care.

Hi Michelle
Well done for finding some real examples of what is going on in Britain.
Did the article provide any REASONS for why patients are not getting the proper care?
Annie
