Hi Annie
About Health issues in Britain I did some rearch from The Times, name of the Healthcare tursts are 'Letting down patients with long-term illness'.
Now days the NHS in England and Wales has improved, but there are still some areas has a few serious problems. The most damaging criticsm is aimed at primary care trusts (PCTs),the bodies entrusted with planning, organising and commissioning care.
"They are failing to provide health servives to mahch th needs of their communites."the commission says.In 2006-07 only 26 per cent of PCTs were rated excellent or good by commission, compared with 33 per cent the year before.Patients may have registered as having a condition but were not called back for follow up visits.Such as dibetes and heart disease.
This year, only 60 of the 152 PCTs achieved the practice based registers ,53 per cent failing it.This is worse than the 40 per cent recorded in last year.
But I think it could have some problmes with social class and allocation of resources.Healthcare has improved but we should also clear that there is some way to go before everyone gets world class care.

Education in Britain - Homeschooling
What can you discover about non-government funded schools in Britain?
A lot a schools support by personal at present,I remembered when I was came to UK before,I checked all the schools types from internet,non-government founded schools in Britain could be some languages schools, several schools by churches,or some could be like skill training schools.
What are the advantages or disadvantages of homeschooling?
I have seen a TV program who has called Teacher's channel recently, one of the topics was about homeschooling, three lovely girls were in a famliy, youngerst sister is 6 years old, other two sisters, one is 8 years old ,one is 11 years old, their parents decided teaching their own kids by themselves at home.
Parents said they thought not because their child special than other kids, just because they living so far away from their school, and they went to see the school but they didnt think the school will suit for their kids, another reason was they believed teaching at home they could be learn more knowledge.
So in my opinion, homeschooling is good for some parents teaching at home, they would use a totally different ways to teaching kids which is suit for their child. It is not diffcult for parents right now, because they could be download any informations from internet, and they do have a lot of teaching materials at home on the internet.Children might be have more chance to choose what they like to be,but everything has two sides. So I think it could not suit for any parents or kids, some parents might not like teachers, may be the subject is too diffcult or professional, even parents could not understood totally, howcome they told to children fully.

History of Halloween
What did the Celtic Irish, or Druids, believe happenend on 'Samhain' [pronounced /sau.wen/] October 31st ?
They believed the spirits of dead people could return to walk the earth.
Why did the people have bonfires and wear masks?
They believed people have bonfires and wear masks to scare away evil spirits,or even disguised themselves as ghosts so that the real ghosts would not attack them.
What was November 1st called? And how did Halloween get its name?
It is called Halloween. From "All Hallows Eve", the day previous to the Catholics' all saints day .
As you listened, what did you discover about why
carved out pumpkins with candles are now part of the Halloween tradition
people give out sweets
I think people make a scary looking face to pumpkins put in their home ,it could be means scare away those evil things. And give children to sweets is mostly very good-humoured.

Symmetrical Familes
After the war in 1949,China government had to built a new country, they started develpment industry, agriculture and so on,because the war the population was reduced, and also government need more people to build everywhere, and they also told the public ,if the famliy have more people ,the country will be more strong,so every family both more and more children, the population became more and more big.
Until the 70'government found more population became a big problem, huge populatin bring to the country more and more load,so they started to control the population, they had limited amount, one family one child.Although most families follwed the roles, some families they wanted more boys, they think man could do more work than woman, they dont care the government roles and also broken the law as well, just for both boys.
Its a big different from UK,because the differert cultrue ,UK government never force control the population, but UK families became more and more smailler, its because peopel wanted quailty life and they reallies if family have more child they will be more poor.More kids you could afford more load in family, actually its not good for families.

Family Size
1.What are the trends in the size of families in Britain? How have the trends changed from the past up to now?
Acrossing study the size of families in Britrain,I have learned some types of families, construct of families, and why the bigger familiy is very normal before in Britain ,but now they changed. When I looking at the graphs of population on the class, I recognised the size of families in Britrain they are changing now,at the moment family size in Britain became more and more small, they donot have so many children in family, more and more families just have two or three kids,or some families they do not have kids. For explam,I asked my roomate, his family is typical walse family, his grandpa has five kids ,his mother has three kids, his sister just marride ,but they dont want to have a baby, I think there are several reasons for families why they change from past up to now, first of all,in the past the standard of living is not too high,if you want to have a better life you must have more labours in your family,so they could have a lot of kids, when they grow up they can go to work, but now standard of living is much better, people changed their mind, samll family and unclear family become more and more popular.
2.What impact will changes in family size have on an ageing population?
I'm not too sure about this question, I think if the family size become more and more small,so the ageing population will not increased quickly,so the goverment will not need cost a lot of money for the ageing population.

Welcome&Families
Dear Annie
I did some research from internet, also I had asked some questions from my friends.I found a big different opinions in families between Chinese and British.I talked to my girl friend (she is lesbian in China),she told me she has a girlfriend now,but she willnot tell her parents ,and this is will be her last grilfriend, when her grilfriend go to marriage (with a boy),so she will be go to marriage, her parents will never know what had happened before.I asked her," if you married ,you will not love your husband, how can you build a family"?she said ,"nobody could accepts this fact in China at this time,so we can do just like normally people, and dont hurt parents heart".At the same time ,I have asked my friend in Britain ,he is a gay,and everybody knew, and everybody thought that is very common,so I have confuse, why british people could accept this fact hanpped in their country but Chinese cant, this is truth no doubt, people has right to choose what they like ,if the family no love in there, how can be a family?
